Behind the Name.
Our founder, Richard Thompson is no stranger to high performance. As a two-time Ultraman World Champion, Richard knows what it takes to be a cut above the rest. That mindset became the foundation for Thompson Legal, where he sought to bring the same drive and determination to the legal profession.
Richard’s roots in law run deep, with his grandfather, Fraser Thompson, founding one of the first legal practices in Mooloolaba in the 1970s. Richard was inspired to continue this legacy, but with a fresh perspective. After years of experience as a solicitor, he saw an opportunity to blend the same discipline and drive that fueled his sports career with a more innovative and client-focused approach to law.
In 2024, Thompson Legal was born, a legal practice where excellence is non-negotiable, and where the focus is always on delivering exceptional outcomes and building lasting legacies for clients.
